Featuring the popular music styling of the Rob Hyner Trio, experience a wondrous night of soothing jazz in a relaxed dining atmosphere. The Rob Hyner Trio has been performing regularly at the Darlington Estate Winery since 1998. Many satisfied customers have been asking about a recording of the trio, which has led to the production of "Our Favourite Things". The CD is now available for purchase and we hope that it has captured the atmosphere of fine dining, wine and music, which are the essential ingredients of the Darlington Estate experience.

Rob Hyner - Piano
Rob is a freelance pianist and teaches piano and flute at his Greenmount home. He has had a long career in classical and jazz music commencing in Holland. In the 1950's he married the composer Meta Overman and later moved to Australia where he became curator of the Grainger Centre in Melbourne and executive officer to the Australian Music Fund before moving to Perth in 1980.

Murray Wilkins - Bass

Murray is a lecturer in jazz studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts within Edith Cowan University and has had a long and varied musical career. Most of his recent activity has been in the Jazz genre and he has accompanied many of the world's leading jazz artists during their Perth appearances. Murray has also played on many West Australian jazz CD's.

Barry Cox - Drums
Barry is from Perth and owns a musical instrument wholesale business. He gained enormous experience playing Jazz and providing backing for many artists in the Channel 7 studio band where he spent much of his musical career during the seventies. Barry is regularly invited to attend international music fairs overseas and has accompanied many of Perth musicians on various CD's.
